Alexandra Palt will step down as L"Oreal’s Chief Corporate Responsibility Officer in April 2024. In her 12 years at the cosmetics giant, Palt has transformed its reputation and practices. The industry is often criticised for its environmental impact, supply chain inequalities and role in increasing body dysmorphia. Palt put L"Oreal at the forefront of confronting these issues. The group is now on target to achieve carbon neutrality at all its industrial sites by next year, it is committed to ensuring all its strategic suppliers’ are paid a living wage by 2030 and L"Oreal launched a podcast series, My Self Worth, to promote body positivity. Palt also launched two impact investing funds, the L’Oreal Fund for Nature Regeneration and the Circular Innovation Fund. Her personal commitment to a just and sustainable society made her a preferred partner to stakeholders around the world. Palt will continue to serve as CEO of the Fondation L"Oreal until July 2024 and will then take a seat on the board of the company’s philanthropy arm.
