Vitaly M. Golomb is a technology investment banker with over 20 years of experience on all sides of the table as a venture-backed CEO, venture capitalist, M&A and financing advisor. Vitaly is Partner at award-winning global M&A investment bank, Drake Star where he focuses on transportation/mobility and sustainability, as well as artificial intelligence, software/SaaS, Internet, and advanced materials sectors.
Previously, he founded and served as Managing Partner of GS Capital and was a Founding Partner at HP Tech Ventures, the corporate venture arm of Silicon Valley’s original startup where he was recognized as a Global Corporate Venturing Rising Star ? awarded to top 1% practitioners in corporate venture. He led HP’s investment in The VR Fund and served on its Advisory Committee. Before that, Vitaly was the CEO of an ecommerce SaaS startup, an award winning digital agency, and a graphic arts services company.
Vitaly grew up in Cupertino, California and started his technology career as a teenager. For the last decade, he has been consistently voted as one of the top mentors to a dozen global startup accelerators and business schools. He has contributed to TechCrunch and Boss Magazine, and authored the best-selling Accelerated Startup. He is an in-demand keynote speaker and trainer on early stage startups, venture capital, and corporate innovation. As the Executive Producer of the Startup AddVenture conference he organized large scale events across seven countries and appeared onstage as a speaker and lecturer in over 30 more. He has served as a Supervisory Board Member of the Ukraine Venture Capital and Private Equity Association since 2016.
Vitaly is fluent in English and Russian, holds a BA in Computer and Video Imaging from Cogswell College, studied Venture Capital at UC Berkeley Haas School of Business, Behavioral Economics at Chicago Booth, and is a registered FINRA broker-dealer agent and general securities principal.
