Anne Miltenburg is a Dutch brand developer and writer, specialized in building brands for social and environmental progress. Anne graduated as a designer from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts with research on communication for visual illiterates with research conducted in Mali. After a storied career with leading European brand agencies, she quit her job as creative director at Interbrand in 2014 to find out how we can use the power of brand to advance social and environmental justice. As a result, she founded The Brandling, an educational company in Kenya, which trains changemakers in brand strategy skills. She is the mind behind tools such as the Brand Thinking Canvas, and the book: Brand The Change, which received international recognition as the brand bible for changemakers. Anne is recognized both as a thought leader on the role of brand in promoting social and environmental change, as well as a practitioner. Anne's deep expertise lies with clients in the tech for good space, such as AMREF Health Africa, MTIBA, Internet of Elephants, Flutterwave, Equalize Health and Spark. Anne was a faculty member at the world renown Design Academy in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, and has been a guest lecturer at Strathmore University, HongIk university, Venice University and Hult International Business School.
