Susanne is an international entrepreneur, tech investor, and writer. In 2008, she started Wise Strategic Communication in Afghanistan, which conducts research on local perceptions on governance. In the wake of the Arab Spring in 2011, she went to Egypt and Libya to support the local grassroots movements throughout the civil war. In July 2014, she started ‘Bitnation’, the world"s first functioning virtual nation, offering services traditional governments provides from dispute resolution to insurance, security, and diplomacy. Bitnation has several thousands of citizens and ambassadors in over 50 countries around the world, and is currently focused on building Pangea, a blockchain Jurisdiction. She is a regular writer, and speaker at conferences, having appeared in New York Times, BBC, Bloomberg, Wall Street Journal, Huffington Post, and many other venues.
