Chris Jordan is an internationally acclaimed American artist and photographer. Through his photographs, conceptual artworks, writings, and film and video works, explore the contemporary world from multiple perspectives. His works are exhibited and published worldwide. Especially, in Sungkok Art Museum, Seoul, South Korea, he has held <2019 Chris Jordan: Intolerable Beauty> which is the largest scale solo exhibition held in Korea.
Chris Jordan has won numerous awards including the United Nation’s Green Leaf Award(2007), the Sierra Club’s Ansel Adams Award for Conservation Photography(2010), and the Prix Pictet Commission Prize(2011).
He has authored Intolerable Beauty: Portraits of American Mass Consumption, Running the Numbers: An American Self-Portrait, In Katrina’s Wake: Portraits of Loss from an Unnatural Disaster, and Ushirikiano: Building a Sustainable Future.
